Hemingway met the late CBS correspondent Charles Collingwood in Spain in the 1930s, during the Spanish Civil War. Collingwood may well have wished for such an attractive writing assistant. Closed, it’s a unique mahogany end table with laurel burl and exotic veneer inlays. The top splits open to form a drop-leaf writing surface with 5 drawers and partitioned storage beneath a sliding panel. Casters roll it right to you to jot a quick note.
